A very bitter dose produced tingling and stimulation within ten minutes, quick enough to cause some apprehension. The effect was almost entirely mental, with racing conceptual thinking, slightly changed depth perception, faint peripheral shimmer, and sharper hearing, but no real visuals. Things were already fading by the second hour, followed by roughly three hours of residue and sleeplessness, and the writer came away disappointed with no wish to repeat it.
