After a very slow start, brief bursts of losing touch with the body grew steadily stronger and more frequent until the state felt genuinely acid-like. Eyes-closed visuals were absent, but with eye shades removed the floor appeared to melt and wall and ceiling patterns flowed; the body felt formless enough that the sitter had to help the subject stand. The decline was long and gradual, with physical stimulation outlasting the mental effects, mostly finished by twelve hours and feeling fine the next day.
