Almost instantly there was burning in the roof of the mouth, whole-body tingling, a purple face, and a crushing chest sensation, followed by a yellow visual haze, heavy sweating, and vomiting. Thinking became jammed, with thoughts colliding before they could be expressed, and the subject felt only partly present. By forty minutes things had improved, though a hangover-like residue remained that felt like it needed walking off.
