A powerful plus-three plateau held for three to four hours. Instead of any sparkle, there were odd moments in which the writer felt able to slip sideways from his own vantage point and look back at where he had just been, a shifted-perspective effect that felt authentic in the moment though hard to explain afterward. The body was untouched, and sleep came late that night with some wariness about the still-intense imagery; compared with a slightly lower dose it was no stronger, just more unreal.
