Around two hours in, with effects still building, striking visual distortions arrived just short of true hallucination: firewood appeared to move continuously and paper seemed to warp beneath the pen. Nothing in the visual field would hold still. By the fifth hour intensity was clearly fading, leaving noticeable shakes and muscle tremor, and some residual body effects persisted to midnight before a restless but adequate sleep.
