Effects announced themselves early, and within ninety minutes the writer was in a striking state marked by loosened inhibitions, playful talk, and easy though not especially deep self-disclosure. Painting with watercolors was great fun, even if the writer's choice of a used tissue as a surface amused no one else. The drive home at midnight demanded care, sleep took another two hours, and the writer was keen to try the same amount again to test whether the good humor was reliable.
