Color changes typical of mescaline were absent, but the mood was buoyant, with jokes landing far too well. Closed-eye imagery was striking and wove itself into the music, so much so that nearby conversation became an irritation. The author was back to baseline in eight hours and judged the experience roughly equivalent to a moderate mescaline dose, with a preference for mescaline itself.
